Description

MYOGENETIX® micronized creatine sets a new standard for creatine supplementation by actually producing creatine ‘micro-particles’ that are 20 times smaller than regular creatine powder. It mixes instantly in liquid and stays suspended longer. It has no gritty mouth feel and is easy on the stomach. MYOGENETIX® creatine uses creatine in monohydrate form which is the most studied sports supplement in existence, resulting in incredible strength gains & muscle fullness. While there are more expensive types of creatine on the market, no data convincingly shows that any form worked better than the original creatine monohydrate in micronized form.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: As a dietary supplement, for the first 3 days (loading phase): Mix 1 scoop with 8 oz. of water and consume 4 times daily. After day 3 (maintenance phase): Mix 1 scoop with 8 oz. of water 1 to 2 times daily. For more impressive results, replace water with a carbohydrate beverage or sports drink. TIPS: Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily when supplementing with creatine. Consuming simple carbohydrates with creatine immediately post-workout may help improve overall effectiveness.

How does creatine contribute to the ATP-ADP cycle in muscle cells?

Creatine is taken up into muscle cells by a transporter protein, where it undergoes phosphorylation to produce phosphocreatine. Phosphocreatine acts as a rechargeable "battery" for ATP, participating in the reversible ATP-ADP cycle crucial for energy production during muscle contraction.

What is the role of creatine kinase enzymes in the regeneration of ATP from phosphocreatine?

Creatine kinase enzymes catalyze the reversible reaction where phosphocreatine donates its phosphate group to ADP, regenerating ATP. This process is essential for maintaining ATP levels in muscle cells.

How does creatine impact the ATP replenishment process during rest?

During rest, ATP replenishment occurs via oxidative phosphorylation. Creatine plays a role by accepting a phosphate group from ATP, contributing to the regeneration of phosphocreatine stores.

Can creatine cross the blood-brain barrier, and what is its role in brain function?

Creatine utilizes a creatine transporter protein to cross the blood-brain barrier. In the brain, creatine increases phosphocreatine stores, potentially aiding ATP production, enhancing dopamine levels, and supporting mitochondrial function for improved brain function.

How does creatine contribute to increased muscle mass?

Creatine boosts protein formation, leading to the creation of new muscle fibers. Additionally, it can elevate insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), a hormone associated with increased muscle mass.

Can creatine affect the size of muscles, and how does it achieve this?

Creatine induces cell volumization, increasing the water content in muscles and quickly enhancing muscle size.

How does creatine impact myostatin levels, and what is its significance in muscle growth?

Creatine decreases levels of myostatin, a molecule inhibiting muscle growth. By reducing myostatin, creatine can facilitate faster muscle development.

Does creatine have neurological benefits, and in what way?

Creatine may be beneficial for neurological diseases by increasing phosphocreatine levels in the brain, potentially helping to slow disease progression.

Can creatine lower blood sugar levels, and what is its mechanism?

Creatine supplements may lower blood sugar levels by enhancing the function of glucose transporter type 4 (GLUT-4), a molecule responsible for bringing blood sugar into muscles.

How does creatine support heart health?

Creatine lowers homocysteine and cholesterol levels, contributing to heart health by reducing the risk of heart disease.

Does creatine play a role in bone health, and how?

Creatine collaborates with bone growth factors to increase the activity of bone-building cells, potentially aiding in bone health.

Can creatine have positive effects on skin health and aging?

Creatine maintains healthy skin by increasing intracellular water content, reducing lipofuscin accumulation, defusing free radicals, and supporting collagen synthesis, potentially reversing the aging process.

How does creatine impact collagen synthesis, and what is its role in reducing wrinkles?

Creatine enhances collagen synthesis by acting as an additional source of glycine and improves the energy efficiency of skin cells, contributing to reduced wrinkles.

Is creatine suitable for individuals with neurological diseases, and how does it potentially help?

Creatine, by increasing phosphocreatine levels in the brain, may be beneficial for individuals with neurological diseases, potentially slowing down disease progression.

Can creatine supplementation have an impact on blood sugar levels and diabetes?

Yes, creatine supplements may lower blood sugar levels by enhancing the function of GLUT-4, a molecule responsible for bringing blood sugar into muscles, contributing to potential benefits for individuals with diabetes.

How does creatine affect brain function, especially during tasks that require significant ATP production?

During tasks requiring significant ATP production, creatine increases phosphocreatine stores in the brain, helping it produce more ATP. Additionally, creatine may enhance brain function by increasing dopamine levels and supporting mitochondrial function.

Is creatine safe for individuals undergoing anti-doping testing, such as athletes?

Creatine, especially when sourced from reputable products like Creapure®, is generally considered safe for individuals undergoing anti-doping testing. Its purity and quality standards reduce the risk of contamination with banned substances.
