Why monohydrate, and why ATP with it

Three ways to buy creatine. Only one adds the molecule creatine is there to make.

Here's how Creatine-ATP measures against the two things most lifters buy — a plain monohydrate, or one of the expensive "advanced" creatines.

Plain creatine monohydrate
The proven original. Works — but it only does one job: refill phosphocreatine. Nothing for blood flow, and coarse grades sit in the glass and the gut.

The 7 jobs Creatine-ATP does

One scoop. Seven angles of attack.

Click any point on the chart to see which ingredient handles that job — and the one-line mechanism behind each.

Full disclosure

Two ingredients. Here's what each one does.

A deliberately short label. Red bars mark the strength driver; navy marks the delivery and blood-flow partner.

Creatine monohydrate (micronised)

Phosphocreatine · Strength

The most studied sports supplement in existence: saturates muscle phosphocreatine so ATP regenerates faster between reps — more reps at a given load, more load over time.

Why monohydrate, not HCl or buffered

Evidence

No data convincingly shows any newer form works better than the original monohydrate in micronised form. It's the form the hundreds of trials used — and the cheapest per effective dose.

Why micronised

Solubility · Comfort

Finer particles dissolve fully instead of settling — no grit in the glass and less of the stomach discomfort coarse creatine causes.

Adenosine 5′-triphosphate disodium

Direct energy · Vasodilation

ATP is the molecule creatine exists to regenerate; the disodium salt delivers it to working muscle when demand peaks. Extracellular ATP also signals blood vessels to dilate, supporting blood flow and the pump.

Cell volumisation

Fullness · Anabolic signal

Creatine pulls water into muscle cells; the swelling is itself a signal for protein synthesis — the "full" look from week one.

Reading the label

  • 3,000 mg is the blend. Creatine monohydrate is the bulk of it; ATP disodium is the partner. The label doesn't split the two — the calculator sizes your dose on the blend as printed.
  • Loading is optional, and the label gives both routes. Four scoops a day for three days saturates fast; one to two a day reaches the same place in three to four weeks.
  • "Replace water with a carbohydrate beverage" — the insulin response drives creatine into muscle; a sports drink or your post-workout carbs does it.
  • Eight glasses of water a day is the label's tip, not a formality — creatine pulls water into muscle and you need to supply it.
  • Two ingredients, no flavour — it dissolves clear into water, juice or your whey.
  • The warning block is the standard Myogenetix® statement. The creatine-specific caution is kidney disease: creatine is safe for healthy kidneys, not for diagnosed kidney conditions.

How it works

From scoop to rep.

Absorb

Micronised creatine dissolves fully and crosses the gut wall; the creatine transporter pulls it into muscle, heart and brain. Carbohydrate speeds the uptake.

Saturate

Loading (4 × 3 g for 3 days) fills the phosphocreatine store within the week; maintenance alone gets there in 3–4 weeks. Either way, once full it stays full at 1–2 scoops a day.

Fire

In a heavy set, phosphocreatine hands its phosphate to spent ADP to remake ATP within seconds — the extra rep or two at the end of the set. ATP disodium adds direct supply and opens the vessels feeding the muscle.

Grow

More reps, more load and cell volumisation compound into strength and lean mass over weeks. Keep water high, keep training, and the effect holds for as long as you take it.

Why lifters choose it

Know what you take

Every question we've been asked about Creatine-ATP.

What exactly is Creatine-ATP?

A 3,000 mg blend of micronised creatine monohydrate and adenosine 5′-triphosphate disodium — 100 unflavoured servings, two ingredients, made in USA.

How does it work?

Creatine saturates the phosphocreatine store that regenerates ATP between reps; ATP disodium delivers the energy molecule directly and signals blood vessels to dilate for flow and pump.

Why monohydrate and not HCl or buffered creatine?

Because, as the label says, no data convincingly shows any other form works better than micronised monohydrate — and monohydrate is the form the research used.

What does the ATP add?

Creatine helps you remake ATP; ATP disodium supplies it directly and supports vasodilation. The combination covers both energy regeneration and blood flow.

Should I load?

Either works. Loading — 1 scoop, 4 times a day for 3 days — saturates within the week; 1–2 scoops a day reaches the same saturation in 3–4 weeks. The calculator picks by your timeline and stomach.

How do I take it?

One scoop in 240 ml water, 1–2 times a day after any loading phase. The label suggests a carbohydrate beverage or sports drink instead of water for better uptake.

When should I take it?

Timing matters less than consistency. Post-workout with carbs or whey is the usual anchor; on rest days, with a meal.

Does it need carbs?

Not strictly, but the insulin response improves uptake — hence the label's tip. Your post-workout carbs or a scoop into your whey shake does it.

Do I need to cycle it?

No. Creatine isn't hormonal; maintain year-round.

Rest days?

Yes — saturation depends on daily intake, not training. One scoop with a meal.

Will it make me hold water?

It draws water into muscle cells, which reads as fullness, not puffiness. Drink the eight glasses a day the label recommends.

Will I gain weight?

Typically 1–2 kg in the first weeks from intramuscular water — that's the store filling, and it's normal.

Is it safe for my kidneys?

For healthy kidneys, yes — it's one of the most-studied supplements for safety. Anyone with diagnosed kidney disease should not use it without medical advice.

Does it cause cramps or stomach upset?

Cramping usually means under-drinking; stomach upset usually means big loading doses of coarse creatine. Micronised particles and splitting the loading dose across the day solve both.

Can I stack it with Massive Gainer or Muscledrol®?

Yes. Massive Gainer already contains creatine — count a serving toward your total. Muscledrol®, whey and Aminogrow® stack cleanly.

Is it suitable for women?

Yes — same dose, same benefits for strength, fullness and, increasingly, cognition and bone.

Is it vegetarian?

Yes — synthetic creatine and ATP disodium, no animal ingredients. Vegetarians often see the biggest response because their baseline creatine is lower.

Is it banned in sport?

No. Creatine and ATP are permitted by all sporting bodies.

Should teenagers use it?

No. Adults 18+ only, as the label states.

How long does a jar last?

100 scoops: with a 3-day load (12 scoops) then 2 a day, about 7 weeks; at 1 a day without loading, over 3 months.

What's the difference from Creatine Monohydrate and Platinum Creatine?

Those are single-ingredient monohydrates (Platinum at higher purity and finer micronisation). Creatine-ATP adds adenosine triphosphate disodium for energy delivery and blood flow — the choice if you want the pump and vasodilation as well as strength.

Where is it made?

Manufactured in San Diego, California, at an FDA-inspected, GMP-certified facility, and marketed in India by Hybrid Laboratories (India) Private Limited.

How do I verify my jar?

Enter the code at myogenetix.in/verify before first use.

How should I store it?

Cool, dry, lid tight, scoop dry. Don't pre-mix and leave it — creatine degrades in water over hours.

The proven form. The energy molecule with it.

One hundred servings of micronised creatine monohydrate and ATP disodium — two ingredients, nothing else.

How does creatine produce energy?

Creatine increases performance by improving energy levels through the ATP-CP cycle using the enzyme creatine kinase (CK).

How does creatine improve muscle pumps?

Creatine improves muscle hydration by increasing intracellular water content which improves muscle fullness and pump.

How does creatine help in cognition?

Creatine helps to boost cognition and prevent mental fatigue through ATP (the energy currency of the cell) regeneration which fuels the mitochondria in the brain cells thus improving coordination and brain function. Creatine also promotes better and healthy functioning of neurological cells and improves focus.

When is the best time to take creatine?

Creatine can be taken as pre-workout or post-workout. The best time to take creatine depends on your need at the moment. If you want to power your workout sessions with sustained energy, take creatine 30 minutes before the workout. If you want to enhance your recovery and muscle protein synthesis, take creatine post-workout combined with your protein shake.

What is the recommended dosage of creatine?

The recommended daily dosage of creatine is 3g with at least 2-3 Litres of water consumption per day.

Is creatine safe for everyone?

Creatine is intended to be consumed by healthy adults 18 years of age or older. Avoid using this product if you have any pre-existing medical condition including but not limited to: high or low blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, stroke, heart, liver or kidney disease, seizure disorder, thyroid disease, psychiatric disease, difficulty urinating due to prostate enlargement or if you are taking MAO inhibitor or any other medication or supplements. Do not use it if you are pregnant or nursing, prone to dehydration, or exposed to excessive heat.

How creatine should be taken?

Creatine should either be taken with a simple carbohydrate source drink such as any fruit juice (especially grape juice or watermelon juice) or glucose water before a workout session or it can be mixed with a protein shake in the post-workout meal.

What is the purest form of creatine?

Creatine monohydrate is the purest form of creatine. Compared to other forms of creatine in the market, creatine monohydrate shows the best and most effective results.

Does creatine cause bloat as it stores water in the body?

Creatine does not cause bloating as it stores water inside the muscle cells which is known as intracellular water which contributes to muscle definition and pump. Bloating is the storage of extracellular water (outside the cells) such as under the skin which causes the skin to become fluffy and swollen.

Does creatine increase testosterone levels?

Creatine increases testosterone levels indirectly. While taking it as a pre-workout, it increases ATP production which improves physical performance and as a result increases testosterone release in the body. It also converts testosterone to DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) which is an even stronger anabolic hormone than testosterone.

Creatine increases testosterone. Is it safe for women?

It is true that creatine increases testosterone indirectly but the level will depend on the body’s natural threshold. Females also produce testosterone in the body but not as much as males, that is why females naturally have less muscle mass. For a female, it will only boost the testosterone according to the required levels and not beyond. So as a female, if you are consuming creatine, it will not make you manly.

How does creatine help in recovery?

Creatine increases levels of anabolic hormones (testosterone and IGF-1) which promotes lean muscle building. With the enhancement of muscle protein synthesis, recovery is faster.

How many times a day should we consume creatine?

The total recommended dosage is 3g so either you can divide it into two parts and take the half dose in the pre-workout and half dose in the post-workout or you can take the full dose of 3g at one time.

Is creatine good for cutting?

Absolutely yes! While cutting, you are decreasing your total calorie intake due to which muscle development is slowed down. Creatine improves the water weight of the muscles by increasing intracellular water content which improves muscle fullness and pump. As a result of gaining more water, it enhances muscle development and durability.

Does creatine cause hair fall?

Creatine does not cause hair fall as long as you are on a good diet, doing physical activity daily, and taking regular protein supplements.

Does creatine increase weight?

Since creatine stores water in the muscles, it increases the water weight of the body.

Why do we need to drink more water with creatine?

Firstly, the main role of creatine is to store intracellular water in the muscles and while doing so, the body water is directed towards the muscle, leaving the body especially vital organs such as the brain and heart dehydrated. This could lead to problems such as low oxygen supply to body tissues and unconsciousness. So, you need to drink more water to fulfill the body’s requirements. Secondly, creatine metabolism results in the formation of a by-product known as creatinine which is a harmful nitrogenous compound. So, to remove this from the body, you have to drink more water so that it can be excreted out through urine and the load on the kidneys will be reduced.

Does creatine interact with drugs?

If you are on diuretics, cimetidine, probenecid, or NSAID (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) you should avoid taking creatine.

Does creatine spike insulin levels and is it safe for diabetic people?

Creatine spikes insulin levels as it is an amino acid which means it is just one step behind glucose formation but this insulin spike is good for the body as more insulin will attach to the insulin receptors on the muscle cells allowing the gates to open and water and other nutrients to move in. This improves muscle pump and muscle protein synthesis. So, it is safe for diabetic people as it improves glucose tolerance and glucose metabolism with aerobic exercise.

Is creatine a steroid?

Creatine is not a steroid. Steroids are artificially synthesized hormones that are similar to your anabolic hormones and boost muscle building but they also disrupt the body’s natural ability to build muscle and lead to various health issues. Creatine is an amino acid naturally produced by our kidneys and liver from amino acids glycine, arginine, and methionine.

Why creatine supplementation if it is produced naturally in the body?

Our body produces 1g of creatine per day. However, due to the increased demand for physical activity and recovery, supplementation is needed. Especially for vegetarians and vegans, who do not consume animal meat, supplementation is very important if they are trying to get a competitive edge over their opponents.

Non-vegetarian food sources are high in creatine. Do non-vegetarians still need creatine supplements?

Absolutely yes, unless you can gulp down pounds of animal meat in one go and can risk increasing your cholesterol levels. To get adequate amounts of creatine naturally from meat, you have to consume a lot of it which is not possible especially if you are aiming for cutting. Consuming more animal meat can also increase the risk of high cholesterol, blood pressure, and other cardiovascular diseases.

How does creatine contribute to the ATP-ADP cycle in muscle cells?

Creatine is taken up into muscle cells by a transporter protein, where it undergoes phosphorylation to produce phosphocreatine. Phosphocreatine acts as a rechargeable "battery" for ATP, participating in the reversible ATP-ADP cycle crucial for energy production during muscle contraction.
